Why Join the Rotary Club of Madison?

The Rotary Club of Madison is our community’s largest service club and is among the top ten largest out of over 34,000 Rotary Clubs around the world. Our Rotary Club is also a great place to meet new people, share ideas, learn new things, and hear from some of the most outstanding speakers from around our city and around our world.

Who Should Join?

Qualified potential members are leaders of good character who possess an excellent business or professional reputation, and who live or work in the Madison area. Our Rotary Club is comprised of “individuals who are engaged as a proprietor, partner, corporate officer, manager of any worthy and recognized business or profession; or acting as the local agent or branch representative or agency thereof and holding as executive capacity with discretionary authority; or an active community leader; or Rotary Foundation Alumnus.

Potential members must be sponsored into Rotary by a current Rotarian. We invite potential members to attend one complimentary lunch so you can see firsthand what we are all about and connect with current members you know. Contact our Rotary office to arrange a date to attend one of our Rotary meetings.


Financial Obligations of Membership?

  • One-time Admission Fee – $250.00
  • Semi-Annual Dues – $604.75, which includes the weekly meeting meal cost.
  • Supporting our Madison Rotary Foundation ($250 average annual contribution).
  • Supporting The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

There is an attendance requirement of 50% for each semi-annual period.
Regular meetings are held each Wednesday: Lunch at Noon with meeting from 12:30-1:25pm, normally at the Inn on the Park on the Capitol Square.


What is my Service Obligation?

Every member is asked to make a time commitment to serve on at least one committee or fellowship group. The Rotary Club of Madison has 40 committees and 28 fellowship groups that provide an abundant opportunity for members to choose service avenues appropriate for the member’s interests and time availability.
